In his unique and famous broadcasts, Paul Harvey often said" And now, the rest of the story."
For me, the rest of the story has been about what keeps some people from healing. I have been told it is because of Karma, or life lessons that must be learned through disease.
I've come to believe that those comments are a bit of justification we often use to remain where we are, doing what we're doing.
I know the arguments, like what about the victimes of a disaster such as the recent earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. And what about the children born with horrible genetic defects,
My take on all that is this. We are all infinite spiritual beings first, we are all part of consciousness, and we all choose what lies ahead. Everthing as as it should be, everythign is as we created it.

Tuning out Fear
Richard Gordon said “fear is like the noise of a fan in running in the background--because its always there, you don’t hear it. I think we can agree that if that background was tuned out, turned off, ignored completely, we would all be better off. But how?
There are several tools and perhaps you have heard of them before. Meditation comes to mind. A daily meditation practice can help you center and stay grounded. Over time, you learn how to focus on thoughts you choose versus thoughts that choose you. The key to meditation is daily practice. The same time every day is best. Choose a calm quiet place and start with a short amount of time, say 10 or 15 minutes. In just a few weeks you will see a change.
Another tool is intention. I like this one because you can set it and forget it. This intention might be set in the beginning or end of your daily meditation. Setting your intention one time will help your focus throughout the day.
Finally, begin to rehearse a simple saying to bring yourself back into the present moment. This is especially helpful when you are surrounded, either at work or in a social gathering, by people who are repeating stations for general fear. There are two that I like to use. one says: “Is that so?” a simple question that asks for the truth. My second is to say or ask: “Who can say what is right or wrong...” (in that situation) Many people offer a comment on something negative and then ask for agreement. This question, or statement if you prefer, again asks for the truth...at which point the attachment to fear is lessened.
Have a wonderful day.

Choices
Life is a choice. We can choose fear or we can choose hope. If we choose to OWN our own life, the possibilities are infinite. If we choose to be a victim of life, then our deepest fears will always haunt us.

A friend sent this to me today....
You have the opportunity to be a powerful influence on the lives of other people, no matter your position in life.

Born to Create
Many times recently I've heard that we are born to create. I am happy when doing creative things. It's hard to go wrong when following the clues given by our positive emotions. To be in the now, to leave judgments behind, to create, to love, and to play--all stem from the higher self. Seems like a really good place to be.

On Track
So far I am on track at keeping my new years resolutions. Generically, I resolved to be more regular in diet and exercise to improve my health. =My health isn't bad, but it is where i want it to be yet. My other resolution is to be more trusting and allowing. More trusting of my own intuition, and more allowing to invite the universe to assist me. So far its working! How abut you?
